At Danske Bank, we live off our financial knowledge. Our success depends on how well we can apply our professional knowledge for our customers and society. For that reason we set knowledge at the core of our corporate responsibility work in the Financial Literacy Programme. Having knowledge about money and finances as early as possible can contribute to sound finances later in life.
We especially wish to show our commitment to sharing our knowledge by raising the level of financial literacy in the communities where we work. Consumers with high financial literacy help raise competition, innovation and product quality in the financial markets by challenging us to develop better and more efficient products and solutions.
Since 2007, Danske Bank has developed online games and websites, initiatives for parents, advisory services for young people on Facebook and teaching material for schools and has collaborated with local authorities – all with the aim of contributing to increased financial literacy.
Since 2007 we have, among other things, achieved the following
Active Moneyville users in eight countries.
Danish classes created profiles on Control Your Money.
Followers receive tips and advice on our Facebook.
Danske Bank regularly conducts research that gives us knowledge about the current challenges and opportunities for increasing personal finance competencies among various age groups. This ensures that all ourinitiatives are relevant for the target groups.
