Danske Markets, which is the Group’s financial activities arm, took the lion’s share when Dansk Investor Relations Forening (DIRF) held its 14th Broker Awards on Wednesday 9 September 2009.
Best research and ’all-in’ strategy
Being best in three out of four categories, Danske Markets consolidated its position as one of the leading Danish equity research houses and took the Grand Prix:
"Danske Markets has a strong foothold in the market as the most respected research house among Danish listed companies. Danske Markets focuses on both quality and breadth of its company coverage, and on servicing companies professionally.
There’s no doubt that this ‘all-in’ strategy makes all the difference," says Michael von Bülow, Chairman of DIRF, to the Danish daily business paper Børsen (only in danish).
Service check of brokers
The aim of the DIRF Broker Awards is to focus attention on the quality and quantity of the communication between companies and investors – nationally and internationally so that both parties can benefit.
The listed companies assess their own brokers
The prizes for the five categories are awarded on the basis of listed companies’ own evaluation of the various brokers. The scores are based on a questionnaire sent to all Danish listed companies where they rank factors such as the intensity, depth and quality of brokers’ research coverage.
They also assessed brokers’ capabilities and the quality of assistance at investor meetings and road shows.
