For the ninth consecutive year, danskebank.com was rated first, ahead of 32 other Danish companies, in the annual web rankings of KWD (formerly Hallvarsson & Halvarsson).
With a score of 64.5 out of 100 in KWD’s annual web rankings, danskebank.com took third place in the financial sector globally and 22nd place among the 500 largest European companies.
But we cannot rest on our laurels. Because as we slip back, the competition closes in on us. Last year danskebank.com won with a score of 76.5, so we actually dropped 12 points lower. This year Lundbeck raised its score 10.4 points to come in at second place in Denmark at 62.4. Nordea is No. 3 in Denmark at 55.5.
Internationally recognised measure
Every year, KWD (KW Digital) evaluates the websites of more than 900 companies broken down into 40 countries and 19 sectors. The criteria for evaluation are determined on the basis of an annual survey of target groups for corporate websites. Around 500 investors, analysts, business journalists and jobseekers tell what they want and expect from the content and functions of company websites.
Afterwards, the results are compiled in a report. Since the ranking constitutes an internationally recognised measure, companies can use it to evaluate their own Internet communications and compare them with others according to more than 100 criteria. Many of the criteria are the same year after year, but because of the economic crisis, openness in communications in particular has gained greater importance in recent years.
