with NemKonto

Danske Bank Denmark is the first bank to offer Danish companies a solution to disburse funds to the NemKonto accounts of both private individuals and companies. Some of our customers have successfully implemented the service already. With NemKonto transfers, our customers generate considerable cost savings: they will not have to worry about account numbers and the transfer completion rate is very high.

New payment method
The NemKonto register was established in 2005 to handle transfers from public authorities, and in 2008 privately owned companies were granted access.

“With this register, we can develop a number of new business solutions for the Danish market,” says Anders Dalgaard, Senior Relationship Manager of Corporate & Institutional Banking. “We have already launched our NemKonto solution that customers can add to their Business Online system
. We do not charge an establishment fee or an annual fee for this service. Customers pay only for their transactions.”

Large volume – large savings

Especially companies with a large volume of disbursements can save a significant amount of money on internal administration and processing. Many customers, particularly large businesses and institutional clients, will be able to generate substantial cost-savings by implementing our new solution. For example the cost of issuing a cheque is around DKr50, whereas the cost of making a NemKonto transfer is DKr1.50.

Getting it right the first time
The NemKonto register matches civil registration numbers, company registration numbers and site numbers with account numbers for company disbursements. The match rate of this procedure is very high.

“The match rate of this procedure is much higher – around 99.5% – than the match rate of transfers based on the recipient’s account number,” Anders Dalgaard explains. “You’ll be surprised how many customers change their account numbers, both personal and business customers. That is why the NemKonto is a very attractive alternative.”
