Danske Bank supports think tank on Europe

In order to contribute to strengthening the debate about the future of Europe and Denmark’s role in Europe, Danske Bank has joined the Think Tank EUROPA.

The think tank EUROPA has been established by the Confederation of Danish Industry and CO-industri to strengthen the euro-political debate in Denmark through e.g. independent and stimulating analyses and by conveying new knowledge on present challenges, the value of EU and new ideas for the future of Europe.

In connection with its entry, Danske Bank has decided to support the independent think tank with one million Danish kroner.

”Denmark is an open economy, deeply dependent on how the rest of Europe is doing. Danske Bank is a reflexion of the Danish and Nordic economies, and for that reason we have a clear interest in nurturing common solutions to global and European challenges. For this, the Think Tank EUROPA make for important insight and analysis and contributes to creating the premises for qualified debate,” says CEO of Dansk Bank, Thomas F. Borgen.

Concurrently, Executive Vice President Kim Larsen from Danske Bank joins the strategy committee of the think tank where Poul Skytte Christoffersen is chairman. President of CO-industri, Claus Jensen, and CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry, Karsen Dybvad, are also on the committee. The strategy committee has the overall responsibility for the operation of the think tank as well as its strategy.
