Our Societal Impact & Sustainability Strategy

  Our Societal Impact & Sustainability Strategy consists of three strategic themes and four foundational factors setting the direction for driving sustainable progress and positive societal impact.

Engaging with stakeholders

A close dialogue with our stakeholders is a key part of the way we conduct our business. We welcome dialogue with all stakeholders, whatever their views, and our approach is driven by our ambition to create value for all stakeholders, by our commitment to transparency and our core values of integrity and collaboration. 
Specifically with regards to political stakeholders, we do not make financial contributions, directly or indirectly, to political parties or candidates. 

Governance within Societal Impact & Sustainability

Our governance setup within Societal Impact and Sustainability enhances transparency and accountability and includes the Business Integrity Committee, which was established by our Executive Board in 2014. The Business Integrity Committee is chaired by our CEO and is made up of the members of the Executive Board and representatives from business areas and staff functions. The purpose of the Business Integrity Committee is to enhance and grow Danske Bank’s positive societal impact by setting the direction, developing and overseeing the implementation of the Societal Impact and Sustainability strategy and related Policies of the Danske Bank Group.
