First Year Analyst Tracks

Being a First Year Analyst is a 12 months commitment where we will focus and contribute to your personal development. We will support your professional development and guide you in exploring and learning about Danske Bank and our business by providing you with a large network in the organisation.
 
You will be part of defining projects of different size in order to carry out our strategy. Continuously developing new capabilities is critical to stay the best as we currently are. In this work you will use the project management, management consulting and agile toolbox, and through project work develop an increasing understanding of the business area. You will structure complex tasks, enabling the organisation to solve them piece by piece. Your strong interest e.g. within project management or process and IT solution design allows you to contribute from day one. Given Danske Bank's size and international footprint you will get your stakeholder management skills developed, and you will build a solid network into IT.

  • As a trader you will be responsible for providing liquidity in one of the bank’s product areas to clients by consistently quoting buy and sell prices – thereby giving them access to the financial market place. You will be responsible for handling the associated market risk on a day-to-day basis by trading with the full range of counterparties, e.g. clients, brokers, exchanges and other banks.  

    You will work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve advances in electronic trading and more sophisticated risk management tools. You will follow both local and global markets, developing tools to gauge opportunities and communicate your findings in order to provide our clients with excellent advice.

    To succeed in this role you will need the ability to make the right decisions and react quickly when new information hits the market. You will need to take ownership of your product area and work seamlessly with Sales, Research and Quant to ensure a successful franchise. You will typically hold a master’s degree (or higher) in finance, economics, business, natural sciences or similar.

  • The overall purpose of Research is to provide advisory and investment ideas for our clients and our sales team globally. Our analysts generate proprietary fundamental research on equities, credit, fixed income products, foreign exchange and macroeconomics. This includes forecasting, modelling and valuation. The analysts produce research reports in English and communicate the findings directly to our key clients in Europe and US. The job requires analytical, mathematical and communication skills as well as familiarity with data management tools, Excel and PowerPoint. We are looking for highly motivated people with intellectual curiosity, ambitions and an absolute commitment to supporting the best interests of our clients. A typical background of an analyst is a Masters of Business Administration or Master of Science in Economic.

  • Working with client relationship you will get to be a part of a team covering the largest investor and institutions in Denmark. In this position you will working together with all our product partners and support the whole servicing value chain. You will work with all aspects of client coverage and also learn about risk, legal set-up and all services related to the highly professional segment we support.

    To succeed in this role you will need to be good at establishing and maintaining a relationship to internal partners as well as clients and hence social skills will need to be one of your forces. Your typical background is an economic education and a good understanding of the economy and the financial sector in the country where you apply.

  • Working with Quant analytics you will be working with applied mathematics in the financial industry. The quant department is working in the areas of the financial markets, where more advanced mathematics are necessary to address financial and risk management problems. The problems worked on are price modelling risk calculations  of certain financial products, as well as machine learning and algorithms for electronic and algorithmic trading . The models from quant form the backbone of the banks prices shown to customers, as well as the risk keeping of the traders books.  

    The typical backgrounds are an education in physics, mathematics-economics, or engineering. Numerical analysis is used heavily, so being fluent in at least one programming languages is a prerequisite. Working with  supervision, but taking ownership is a necessity.

  • As a product developer you will go deep in to specific product areas, and both be tested technically and process wise. Your role is to develop new products together with front line and stakeholders. You will be working with the best product specialists in the market and experience your theoretical knowledge being used in practice. You will be working with many different units to cater for risk management, profitability and legal to mention a few.
