Advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define the economic, social and environmental dimensions of major challenges the world faces today. 

At Danske Bank, we believe businesses play a role in achieving the SDGs, and that is why we are seeking to align our core business and strategic initiatives with the SDGs on which we can contribute the most.

Business Integrity Board

Our governance mechanisms help to enhance transparency and accountability. Danske Bank’s Executive Board has appointed a Business Integrity Board, which oversees the implementation of the corporate responsibility strategy across the Group. Danske Bank’s CEO, Thomas F. Borgen, chairs the Board.

Our Group Responsibility Policy is based on a number of internationally recognised principles in the areas of human rights, employee rights, the environment and anti-corruption. We want to ensure that we treat our stakeholders properly, minimise any negative impact on the environment and contribute to mutually beneficial value creation.
