The Hub launches a new blog for sharing learnings, best practices and startup stories in the Nordics

As the Hub reaches more milestones in 2019, the growth platform for startups looks at strengthening its presence in the Nordics with new added value.

Powered by Danske Bank and Rainmaking, the Hub announces plans to grow and expand its services to the Nordic startup ecosystem, capitalising on the region’s boom of talent and new-businesses’ global leadership. Specifically, the Hub will create a content platform in the form of a knowledge bank to provide startups with relevant and valuable information. The aim of the initiative is to connect entrepreneurs, talent, investors and other key players in the ecosystem and foster growth through learnings, case studies and valuable stories.

Klavs Hjort, SVP Growth & Impact at Danske Bank says: “Danske Bank is committed to strengthen its efforts in the Nordics and we are enthusiastic to support the Hub with its new content platform. The success of the Hub and its current development validate our vision of connecting people and nurture economic growth in society. We believe Nordic countries have exceptional potential, especially on a global perspective, and we’re devoted to play a key role in driving innovation and growth.”

Commenting on the expansion, Ninna Wicki Olsen-Stryhn, CEO at the Hub remarks:

“While the Nordic ecosystem is growing increasingly more connected, so much information still stays in smaller silos. Investors have unique insights about which startups at succeed, experienced founders have valuable learnings and the same goes for most experimental new startups. We want to make these resources accessible. Our latest efforts with the blog showcase the ambition and vision behind the Hub towards our greater mission; empowering entrepreneurs. We’re proud of the contribution we delivered so far with useful services and impactful connections in a sometime complex ecosystem made of startups, talent and investors. We’re aiming at continuing being front and centre of the innovation and new-business landscape and we’re confident that the blog will add another piece to the puzzle in fuelling growth in the market.”

In 2018, The Hub reportedly grew with more than 1,900 startups, +6,300 jobs and +96,000 applicants. The aim with the new content platform is to support the Hub’s mission of empowering startups and scaleups, enabling connection to talent and investors and easy access to learnings, best practices and case studies.
