Danske Bank".

December 30, 2002

Stock Exchange Announcement No. 36/2002

The legislation providing for public representatives on the boards of directors of financial undertakings in Denmark was abolished by Act No. 197 of 9 April 2002. However, public representatives continue in office until 31 December 2003 unless their period of appointment expires before then.

Claus Vastrup, Professor of Economics, Ph.D., who has been a member of the Board of Directors of Danske Bank A/S since 1 January 1995, was appointed for a period of four years with effect from 1 January 1999 and therefore resigns from his office at the end of 2002.

The Board of Directors has valued Claus Vastrup’s insight and active participation in the work of the Board and will propose that the Bank’s next annual general meeting elect Claus Vastrup a member of the Board.
