Press release
The Danske Bank Group’s IT systems and internet banks are operating normally again. Since Monday, March 10, 2003, the Danske Bank Group has been experiencing problems with its IT systems. The difficulties began during routine maintenance of technical equipment.
All functions of the Group’s internet banks are now back in normal operation. The Group is processing a large volume of data, and therefore payments and other account transactions dating back to Monday, March 10, cannot yet be viewed on the individual accounts.
We expect all updates to be completed by Monday morning, March 17.
As a consequence of the IT problems, Danske Bank expects to have to pay compensation to a number of customers. This will take place in co-operation with the individual customers.
The Bank is analysing the causes of this unacceptable systems breakdown and will publish a statement when this work is completed.
Additional information will be published on a current basis on the Danske Bank Group’s Web site at www.danskebank.com.
