Danske Bank lowers interest rates

Press release

As a consequence of Danmarks Nationalbank’s lowering of its certificate of deposit rate by a total of 0.30 of a percentage point in the period from March 26, 2010 to May 27, 2010, Danske Bank Denmark reduces its interest rates on selected variable-rate deposits by up to 0.25 of a percentage point.

Although Danmarks Nationalbank did not lower its lending rate during the period in question, Danske Bank also lowers selected lending rates by up to 0.25 of a percentage point.

The change will take effect on June 4, 2010.

Interest rates on loans whose rates are directly linked to Danmarks Nationalbank’s certificate of deposit rate were lowered by 0.10 of a percentage point on May 27, 2010, by 0.10 of a percentage point on May 20, 2010 and by 0.10 of a percentage point on March 26, 2010 as a result of Danmarks Nationalbank’s rate cuts on the same dates. This change concerned Danske Prioritet and Danske Prioritet Plus, for example.
