Danske Bank A/S confirms its IRB capital framework towards 2028

In light of recent peer announcements, Danske Bank is confirming its existing capital framework, including as it relates to IRB models.

Danske Bank’s ongoing work with IRB model implementation is underway in close alignment with, and under the supervision of, the Danish FSA. Danske Bank’s current capital framework includes a REA buffer that now stands above DKK 110bn to cover the P1 and P2 impacts from the implementation of IRB models. This buffer was recently reviewed with all required adjustments included in the REA buffer.

Danske Bank’s capital position remains robust, with significant buffers above regulatory requirements. The formal SREP review of resolved legacy cases has reduced our CET1 requirement by around 40 basis points, as previously guided, which will be reflected in the disclosure of our third-quarter numbers.

We remain well positioned to support customers and pursue profitable growth while progressing towards our 2028 CET1 capital ratio target. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no change to the execution of our existing share buy-back programme.

The final figures will be provided in Danske Bank's interim report for the first nine months of 2026, due for release on Thursday, 29 October 2026.
