Advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define the economic, social and environmental dimensions of major challenges the world faces today. 

At Danske Bank, we believe businesses play a role in achieving the SDGs, and that is why we are seeking to align our core business and strategic initiatives with the SDGs on which we can contribute the most.

Business Integrity Board

Our governance mechanisms help to enhance transparency and accountability. Danske Bank’s Executive Board has established the Business Integrity Board, which oversees the implementation of the corporate responsibility strategy throughout the Group.

Responsibility Policy

Our Group Responsibility Policy is based on a number of internationally recognised principles in the areas of human rights, employee rights, the environment and anti-corruption. We want to ensure that we treat our stakeholders properly, minimise any negative impact on the environment and contribute to mutually beneficial value creation.

Tax Policy

Our Tax Policy sets out our approach to conducting our tax affairs in a transparent and responsible manner. This means that we seek a cooperative relationship with the tax authorities and provide products, services and business solutions to customers in accordance with the applicable tax laws and regulations without challenging the boundaries of the tax law.

Engaging with stakeholders

A close dialogue with our stakeholders is a key part of the way we conduct our business. We welcome dialogue with all stakeholders, whatever their views, and our approach is driven by our ambition to create value for all stakeholders, by our commitment to transparency and our core values of integrity and collaboration. 
Specifically with regards to political stakeholders, we do not make financial contributions, directly or indirectly, to political parties or candidates.

The Danske Bank Fund

The Danske Bank Fund is a charitable fund that supports the development of financial confidence and other societal initiatives - including nationwide fundraising for humanitarian purposes.
