Press Release: New Chief Economist at Danske Bank
Carsten Valgreen has been appointed new Chief Economist of Danske Research. Valgreen replaces Jørgen Birger Christensen, who leaves the position due to protracted health problems.
Valgreen, 36, has a Master's Degree in Economics and has worked for the Danish Ministry for Economic Affairs and as an economist at BG Bank. In 2000, he was appointed head of Danske Bank's international economic research and in 2002 head of macroeconomic research.
New Research organisation
At the same time, Danske Bank restructures its research activities, appointing Henrik Parkhøi Head of Research in charge of both Danske Research and Danske Equities.
Parkhøi, 32, has a Master's Degree in Economics and has since 2002 been head of Danske Market's research department Danske Equities. Parkhøi has previously worked as Vice President at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, London, in charge of sales of US equities to Nordic customers.
