Karsten Breum, Head of HR at Danske Bank, says:
"It is about time that rainbow families get equal rights in terms of parental leave, so I am pleased that Danske Bank now implements this. All our employees must be able to go on parental leave when they become parents – regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation or non-biological relation to the child."Image: As part of Copenhagen Pride Week our headquarters is decorated in the colours of the rainbow.Further than existing legislation
He emphasises, that with this initiative, Danske Bank goes beyond the existing legislation in many countries, and therefore HR is working on answering the many "what-if" questions.
"We want to help rainbow families and keep up with the pioneers of this area, as diversity and inclusion are key values for us," says Karsten Breum.
The implementation of equal rights to parental leave for rainbow families applies to all countries in which Danske Bank operate.
