Danske Bank takes over Addici Holding AB
Danske Bank will take over Addici Holding AB, a Swedish facility management company, from Argan Capital, a private equity fund. The transaction agreement was signed yesterday, and the actual takeover, which is subject to competition clearance, is expected to be finalised in six weeks.
Addici provides facility management solutions for offices, airports, manufacturing industries, shopping centres and hospitals in the Nordic countries. Addici, which is based in Sweden and has 2,000 employees, will continue its current operations under Danske Bank’s ownership.
“The Bank has no intention of having permanent ownership of companies outside the financial sector. Danske Bank’s ownership of Addici will not be a long-term solution, and the Bank aims to exit the company when market conditions allow. At this point, the takeover is the most sensible move to protect the Bank’s exposure and ensure stability for Addici, its employees, customers and suppliers,” says Per Skovhus, Head of Group Credits and member of the Executive Board of the Danske Bank Group.
